PUBLIC CAMPUS – CURTIN UNIVERSITY APRIL 4, 2016 – APRIL 10, 2016
Curtin University has invited significant international urban artists to create large scale murals across their campus. The result will enrich and enhance students and visitors experience while at Curtin.
There’s guided artwork tours throughout the week and a closing party on on Saturday, April 6pm, where the People’s Choice Award for PUBLIC Platform is announced.
This is especially exciting and a must experience as it’s the first of its kind for WA!
PUBLIC PLATFORM was inspired by the San Francisco Market Street Prototyping Festival. The stories told at last years PUBLIC 2015 of innovative ideas and active public engagement was exhilarating. Designers, artists, and place makers were asked to create schemes based on improving and connecting life within the city and urban communities.
From this success the first ever PUBLIC PLATFORM has been mobilised. So engage and be stimulated by what 23 local and diverse creative teams produce. A visual and interactive experiment of concepts designed to active public engagement on the streets and public spaces will be the result. So come play, explore, engage and enjoy creativity in your community, then have your say with the kids at The Claremont Town Centre. April 2 & 3.
Public has selected a team of international and WA artists to animate walls and laneways across Albany’s CBD. This revitalising experience will take place from April 14-17.
Share the excitement of new discoveries with your circle as Perth continues to move forward as a creative hub!
