LOCAL DESIGN presents ‘LOCAL MILAN’ @ MILAN DESIGN WEEK
At the recent Milan Design Week, 12 significant Australian designers showcased symbolic pieces aimed at exposing local design internationally.
Curated by LOCAL DESIGN founder & stylist Emma Elizabeth and industrial designer Tom Fereday. The pair wanted to create a statement in Australian Design and style. Each designer presented their stand-out piece or pieces and was selection due to their reputation, current role in the Australian designer environment, product merit and ready to receive orders from international buyers.

The LOCAL MILAN exhibition was the largest Australian produce show at the MDW to date. The designers included: Shilo Engelbrecht, Frag Woodall, Kate Banazi, Tom Fereday, Emma Elizabeth, Alex Fitzpatrick, DAAST, Coco Reynolds, Toby Jones, Rachel Vosila, Andrew Simpson and Tom Skeehan.
A dark and moody space dramatised each piece, and show goers experienced a strong Australian design statement.
